Lloyd has been growing his hair for over 10 years and decided to chop it all off for charity. The R&B singer, now signed to Interscope (under Polow Da Don’s Zone 4 label imprint), hit up a barbershop in Atlanta recently to cut his hair for a worthy cause……Locks for Love!

In a statement released today, Lloyd said:

“I’ve been growing my hair since 9th grade. It’s time for a new me. The fact that my hair will go to someone that needs it more than me, makes me feel great about my decision.”

Locks for Love is a non-profit organization that accepts donated hair to provide hairpieces for financially disadvantaged children under the age of 21 suffering from long-term illnesses that make their hair fall out. Lloyd’s longtime braider reportedly gave the singer a 12-inch braid for keeps before cutting the rest off for charity.
